Welcome & Welcome Back: Connecticut College 2021-2022

Of all the lessons we have learned from this pandemic that we are still living through, one of the most profound, I think, has to do with the very question of community: what a precious thing it is to be in residence with others...

President Katherine Bergeron

The Connecticut College community is celebrating our full return to campus and the extraordinary efforts that allowed us to come back together while so many communities across the world must remain apart. Our deep commitment to one another—the care and concern we bring to all our interactions—provided a safe environment for our students to continue to learn and grow during the challenging academic year of 2020-2021.

But now, we're back. All of us.

And we've welcomed our newest Camels to the herd. The Class of 2025 arrived to cheers and volunteers who helped them move in and immediately feel at home.

We also marked the beginning of the academic year with a moving Convocation ceremony that included the Class of 2024, whose arrival on campus during the height of the pandemic was, by necessity, a more muted affair.

Our celebrations continue. As does our commitment to our community. And we foresee a bright path forward.
