President Katherine Bergeron recently recorded a lively talk with Roman and Tatiana Weller Professor of English and Writer-in-Residence Blanche Boyd at the University Club of New York for her podcast, Think.Do.Lead.

Before an alumni audience that included several of Boyd’s former students, the author spoke about her new novel, Tomb of the Unknown Racist, which was a finalist for the prestigious PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.

Boyd joined Connecticut College in 1982 and has become an institution at the College, mentoring countless students over the years who have gone on to become prominent writers and journalists. During the conversation, Boyd recounted her storied early days as a writer at the Village Voice and detailed her career at Conn and her unique approach to teaching. Tomb is the final installment of Boyd’s trilogy, which includes The Revolution of Little Girls and Terminal Velocity.

This episode of Think.Do.Lead. is available here, or can be downloaded from iTunes or Podbean. Tomb of the Unknown Racist is available now in print, digital and audio formats.
