HREFLAND

Project/Mission Statement
HREFLAND is a film encapsulating the beautiful yet horrific experience of being online. Through experimental sound, form, and image, I defamiliarize the viewer from their ingrained relation to digital spaces. The process is to create a space where the internet can be seen as it truly is, divorced from the cultural discourses that surround it. Thousands of images are flashed at your retinas every hour and while you remember less than one percent of them, they are there. These forgotten images are what HREFLAND is made of.
